Trail User Guidelines
- Don't Speed. Please do not exceed 15 mph on trails.
- Be Courteous. All trail users, including bicyclists, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair users, should be respectful of other users.
- Keep Right. Stay near the right side of the trail except when passing another user.
- Pass on Left. Pass others going in your direction on their left. Give an audible signal well in advance of passing.
- Keep Dogs Leashed. Clean up after your pet.
- Don't Litter. Do not drop or leave any debris along the trail. Use litter receptacles for disposal.
- Be Predictable. Walk and ride straight an on the right hand side. Indicate when you are turning. When in groups follow in a single line.
- Don't Block the Trail. When with a pet or a group, stay on the right half of the trail.
- Yield when Entering or Crossing. At trail intersections, yield to traffic on the cross trail or road. This is often the most dangerous point on the trail.
- Help Keep the Trails Clean and Safe. Report any dangerous conditions or vandalism.

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW?
Protect yourself by following these safety tips:
- Always wear an ANSI/SNELL approved bicycle helmet (look for the accreditation on the helmet before you purchase it.)
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Avoid riding at night or in bad weather. If you must ride after dark, make sure your bike has a white headlight and a rear light or reflector. Also be sure to wear light colored clothing or reflective material.
- Stay alert at all times.
- Watch for road hazards including litter, loose gravel, mud, etc. These can cause you to lose control.
- Walk your bicycle through intersections.
- Use hand signals when you stop or turn.
- Never carry extra riders.
